Mark McNeely is a partner at McNeelyLaw, where he practices criminal defense, family law, bankruptcy, and elder law. Mark was born and raised in Shelbyville, Indiana where he has practiced for nearly fifty years.
Prior to attending law school, Mark received his bachelor’s degree from Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. After graduating, Mark served in the United States Army, before attending Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. He went on to practice in Shelby County as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, a Deputy State Public Defender, and a Public Defender. Mark was also an attorney for the Department of Public Welfare in Shelby County between 1976 and 1985 and Director for the State Public Defender’s Counsel from 1978 to 1990. Mark was President of the State Public Defender’s Counsel in 1988. Additionally, Mark served as Director of Indiana Legal Services Organizations.
Following his service in the public sector, Mark was a solo practitioner for clients in the Shelby County area before joining McNeelyLaw.
As a father of four and a grandfather of five, Mark brings both personal and professional experience to the practice of law.
